Чем можно объяснить причины быстрого и относительно безболезненного отстранения Хрущева от власти в октябре 1964 г.?

Тем что набирающая силу и самостоятельность партийная номенклатура не поддерживала больше Хрущева с его тягой к "вождизму", поскольку в нем не нуждалась. На сцену уверено выходили новые, набирающие вес руководители, опирающиеся на поддержку партийного аппарата. А отстраненный от власти - Хрущев, не имеющий больше реальной силы, опасности не представлял. Времена изменились, жесткой расправы над оппонентами - как во времена Сталина- больше не требовалось. (Сравните Троцкого- который в имиграции представлял реальную силу и угрозу руководству СССР - как центр влияния и раскола левого движения)
