Потому что Мифы – древнейшие сказания, повествующие о происхождении вселенной и человека, тайнах рождения и смерти, чудесах мира, подвигах и любовных переживаниях богов, царей и героев, предание, в которое верил весь народ, живший в определенную эпоху, в определенном месте. Сказка быть не может, т.к сказка - это придуманная история.

Миф и история, потаму что в объяснение мифа должна быть история, это объясняет, что это значит, откуда он взялся, каково его происхождение.
