Besides being used in different industries, robots do lots of housework: they clean the house, serve tea and wash up after that. [4] These robots wake people up in the morning, inform them about the weather and ask questions about their health. The robots are able to recognize faces, keep eye contact and maintain conversations. In Japan, [5] humanoid robots have already become friends for lots of elderly people.
Robots for households are usually designed in a humanlike manner and resemble human beings — they have a head, arms and legs. Japanese scientists believe that in several years robots will be common in every household and feel very enthusiastic about it.
